June (Full of Sickness)

For some reason I'm having a hard time blogging, I guess 2 busy kids keep Don and I very busy too.  So I decided to recap the last couple of months so I don't forget.

June 2011
The last week of school I realized that I had sent Mason to school with pink eye - I just thought he had a cold in his eye (I now know that is pink eye - thanks to Christy).  Mason, Christy and I went to Bob Evans for dinner and she looked at Mason said he has pink eye.  I panic of course because he had been at school for 3 days now, so I was feeling like a horrible parent - so we rush our dinner and head straight to the Minute Clinic.  He didn't just have 1 pink eye, he had 2!  Oh did I feel horrible.  He missed a baseball game, which he didn't seem to be concerned about.

The next week, he had his first game back from pink eye and wham...he got his in the face with a baseball.  A medic at the field said we should take him to the ER because his nose is definitely broken.  Thankfully, I was not there because the thought of it made me pass out.  So Don takes him to the ER and finally after my nausua feeling went away I headed in to see what he looked like - it was horrible and I felt really bad for him.  Every nurse that saw him said its broken - but the x-ray said otherwise - YAY!  Thanksfully the way it hit him was more on his check bone...so his nose and cheek looked like one.  He didn't get a black eye like we thought he would so he was very lucky.

And to top it off, he still has his plantars warts on the bottom of his foot and continues to limp.  This kid has been a hot mess.

So on to Zach - of course, he was enjoying the first few weeks of summer and baseball...but wait...he starts complaining that he can't hear.  Great!  We take him to the Take Care Clinic and he has clogged ears.  The nurse and Don said it was absolutely disgusting what she pulled out of his ear.  Zach immediately said, "I can hear" and the nurse said, "I bet you can!"

A week later...Don calls me and said he is on his way to the ER.  He was having abdominal pain and could hardly stand up.  So we head over to the Dublin Methodist Hosptial (which is really nice) and find out he has kidney stones - possible to big to pass.  Fabulous!  So of course he has to see a Urologist and have Lithotripsy.

I was the only one healthy for the entire month of June!
