I just completed week 3 of The Photographer's Workshop with Karen Russell. The class is FAB-U-LOUS! I am learning so much. This class is so different from the traditional photography class you would take at a college. It's weird, I feel like she is speaking my language instead of a professor blabbing to me and room full of young college kids. I will say though, this class makes me want to buy a new camera; however, I settled for a new lens...the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4. This is the lens that Karen uses all the time. It definitely is taking some getting used too because you can't zoom...I'm the zoom. I either need to back up or move forward.
The one thing she talks about is your mental checklist, basically, all the things you should do before actually pressing the button to take your shot! This week will be covering Shutter Speeds, which is important to me because of all the pictures I'm taking of Zach and Mason for baseball. I hope to post a picture I took last year compared to this year to see if you can tell the difference.
Tasha - I can't wait for you to start your class, so we can really talk about all this great information :)

I forgot to ask you how the lens was! :)
I know I'm gonna want one.
I already do...and I haven't even started the class!
I can't wait to see the photos you take with it!
