Back to School (already)!

Today was the official first day of school. Zach headed off to Memorial Middle School for 8th Grade and Mason is still at Brown Elementary for 4th Grade. (OK, next year this time, I will have a freshman...CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE? Freaking me out!)

I got up early this morning to get pictures of Zach, we can't do our usual routine of taking pictures outside because 1) its still dark outside and 2) that so is not cool! I practically had to beg for him to smile and act like he enjoyed it, but he didn't.

Mason wasn't as hard to get a picture because all I have to do is threaten that he won't get to play with his friends and he'll do anything I ask.

After work I went over to Tasha's to see my little Zoe - oh my how cute she is! I only got to stay about an hour because the kids were telling me to hurry up and get home because they had things for me to read and sign. As soon as I walked in the door and I was bumbarded with paperwork, signatures and more supplies that are needed. Again, why do we send our kids to school? We as parents have to buy and do all the work.

Anyways, I asked Mason a few questions that I wanted to share/remember:
1) What was your favorite part about today?
Organzing our stuff, we had a tub for our folders, supply crate for all of crayons, markers, glue sticks and a cubby for all our reading materials.
2) What did you think of Mrs. Huffman?
She's really nice.
3) What do you look forward too?
Math, and we are starting tomorrow
4) Your least favorite thing today?
Sitting on the carpet and listening to Mrs. Huffman read.

Gotta love my Mason!

Zach didn't want to answer my stupid questions, but he did say his favorite thing was the Name Game. He had to use an adjective before his name and it had to start with a Z. He said he could only think of Zippy Zach. He also wrote on a paper that I saw that he looks forward to meeting new friends.
