So You Think You Can Sew

Sometimes I get these bird brain ideas that I can do everyting...lately, I've been really into my Mom's sewing machine. I want to sew so stinking bad that I'm going to take a sewing class at JoAnn Fabric's. I started re-doing my scrapbook room for over a month now...I spent countless hours organizing cardstock by color, pattern paper by vendor or theme, putting buttons in jars by color, etc. You name it I've been doing it. However, the one thing the room is lacking is color. I live with all boys (even the dog is a boy) and I want a room that is all mine and somewhat girlie - I'm not really into pink, and my favorite colors are blues/teals and green.

I bought an Expedit Shelf from Ikea, but really haven't put anything on it because I can't find the right storage bins that I'm looking for.

So then I did a little searching online and found fabric storage baskets on Etsy - but it costs $40.00 for one basket and that doesn't include shipping - and I need 4 or more.

Ok, it doesn't look to hard, right? Well, when you don't know how to sew, its extremely difficult, especially when you are reading the pattern and you don't even know what some of the terms mean.

I'm also really loving Amy Butler's fabrics...very unique and love love love the different colors. So to all my friends out there that know how to sew...we have a project to do...

Yes, lets figure them out so I can make some for baby's room and my shelf in the hall way! I've been needing baskets for it anyway :)

Tell me when I can come over and we'll figure it out!!
