EXHAUSTED!

It's amazing how much time we spend to prepare for Christmas...not only on shopping for our loved ones, but cleaning, wrapping, making cookies, etc...and in only a few short hours its over.  Don and I were up around 6:15am - yep we beat the kids up...but only because we had to be at Jerry's at 8:30am for breakfast.

So at 6:30am we woke up the kids...Santa was extra nice this year!  Mason got a 26" flat screen TV, Zach got a PS3, Don got a Circular Saw and I got an iPod Touch!  Plus we all got lots of other stuff too (too much to tell).  Anyways, we headed over to Jerry's, which actually wasn't bad, more people than I thought would be there - Patty's brother was in town so he likes to dress up as Santa - it was pretty funny...as soon as Mason saw him he took off for me and said, "I am not sitting on his lap."  By 11:30am, we were all back at my house for Christmas with my Dad and Melissa's family.  I actually was a little nervous that my sister was coming over (she hasn't been to my house in 4 1/2 years); you see her house is perfect...I really do mean PERFECT.  So for her to see my house and its many flaws was very overwhelming.  Anyways, we all opened our presents, had dinner and poof everyone was gone.  Time goes by so quickly...luckily Jeanette and Dad was able to stick around for a little bit, which was nice.

This is the first Christmas in 13 years that I only had to go to 1 place and then home for the rest of the day...I actually enjoyed it and so did the kids, they got to enjoy all their toys!

Christmas was great this year...but of course there will always be someone missing...my dearest Mom -  Merry Christmas Mom and I miss you very much!
