I always see t-shirts that say "Eat, Sleep and Scrap" and I never really cared for them...but now I know what that means. Tasha, Ally, Melissa (my sis), Talulu (Tasha's mom), Melissa and I went to Zane Trace Inn for the weekend. We had so much fun. The place was unbelieveable. We ate so much food that I had to put my "fat pants" on so I was comfortable. Tasha, Melissa and I met on Friday for lunch at Noodles and then headed over to Pizzaz It's to pick up some last minute stuff (ok for Melissa it was more like all the stuff she needed to scrap over the weekend) then we were on our way to Somerset. The drive was gorgeous, the trees still had a lot of color in them and the entertainment was watching my sister in my rearview mirror singing and dancing to the music in her car. Once we got to Somerset, they have a "round about"....which is more like a free for all - cars were coming from every direction...it was a little scarey. Anyways, we arrived about 3pm and claimed our spot in the crop room. Then Tasha and I had to come up with a way to make the tables more beneficial to ourselves so we suggested moving things a bit so we could have an extra table for our cricuts and laptops :) The rest of the crew showed up between 5-6 and then we had dinner. We scrapped a little, but we were tired, so some of us headed to bed.
Saturday, we got a lot of eating and scrapping done. I think I was up at 8am and didn't go to bed until 2:30ish (with no nap)...can you believe it? Melissa and Ally watched the OSU/Penn State game while the rest of us cropped, but you might as well say we were watching it too by the sounds they were making...we knew what was happening.
For those that travel with my sister and I know we have strict rules for sleeping in the same room with us.
Rule 1 - You must not comment or complain about my fan.
Rule 2 - The room must be dark.
Rule 3 - NO SNORING!
The first night was great, no rules were broken. The second night we had a few problems. First my fan decided it wanted to stop working and then when it did work, it made very strange noises. My sister and Ally certainly complained about that so I was generous enough to turn off the fan. However, I needed noise, so we decided to turn on the radio - my sister didn't like that either so we decided to turn on the ceiling fan...okay not as much noise, but it would work. I'm exhausted by this time, so finally its quite and I'm sleeping...then all of a sudden I hear someone snoring...I politely walk over to Ally and tap her on her arm..."Ally, you're snoring"...she says "Really?" Uhh...yea! So I fall back asleep, a couple hours later...Ally is snoring again...by this time, I'm really exhausted...but I was trying to be good and just ignore it, but I couldn't take it...it was getting louder by the minute. Finally, I walk over to her again and tap her arm..."Ally, if you don't stop snoring I'm going to kick you out of the room." I go back to my bed and fall back to sleep...it's 8:30am...and guess what...Ally's snoring again. By this time, I had given up so I get up and take a shower and head downstairs to crop. About a 1/2 hour later my sister comes down...I asked...did you sleep? Of course she said no, how could she with the loud snoring. Needless to say, we won't be rooming with Ally anymore...sorry Ally!
Overall, we had a great time and we look forward to going back next year!
