Last Saturday, I went to Sewing 101 at Joann's - a little pricey ($35), but I really wanted to learn more about my machine and the "how to's." The class was about 2 1/2 hours long, it was very informative...I learned a lot about patterns, how to thread my machine and bobbin. We were suppose to make a pillow case, but I decided to make a cover for the pillow I purchase the day before. After the class I realized I was still missing some essentials, so I spent another $20 after all my coupons. The pillow turned out great, so now I'm trying to move forward with my fabric bucket (see post below). I'm having alittle trouble understanding "interfacing" and how it works, but apparently this will make the bucket stiff (not flimsy). I need an extremely heavy weight one and Joann's doesn't carry it, so I'm off to find a fabric store that does. Any suggestions?
Sunday my day was filled with baseball, a showing and laptop issues...I was too busy running around that I don't even remember what I actually did.
Monday was the funeral :( however, that evening me, Mason and Don had to go to the Summer Reading Program we signed Mason up for, which is a 2 week program. They provide dinner and then Mason goes to a classroom to learn reading/comprehension technqiues and Don and I go to our parent classroom to learn how to help our children. What is so great about this is it's all FREE! Thank you Hilliard City Schools!
Bob is on vacation this week! YIPPEE! WOO HOO! HOORAY! A little break from the smoke is always nice :)
