to me....and Mason! My baby has officially turned 9 and I'm 29 (plus 5). Where did the time go? He is growing so fast - what happened to my little boy who liked to cuddle with his Mom? Now I have to force him to sit on my lap :( Mason really hates sharing his birthday with his Mom - I'm hoping that when he is older he will appreciate it more, but for now all I hear him say is I wish I had my own birthday. He actually has thought a lot about this - he said to me, "Mom, no one else in the family has the same birthday - why do I have to share mine with you?" I wanted to cry...I could feel the tears getting ready to run down my face, but I told myself to compose myself because I didn't want him to feel bad. I tried to explain to him and WE were SPECIAL and not too many people in the world get to celebrate their birthday with their Mom! He just gave me a look and said, "Whatever Mom."
We have a lot planned for today...2 baseball games and a party at D&B's. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be exhausted by the end of the night.
For my birthday - we went to IKEA yesterday! Yippee! IKEA is soooooo my happy place. I was buying more stuff to organize my scrap room. Once I'm done, I'll post a pic.
Anyways, my wish is for another great year with my family and friends!

My sister hates sharing her birthday with Jesus, too... it could be worse, I guess!! :-)
awww! I'm sure in time he will appreciate it more. I'm glad you had a good birthday..with some Ikea spending :)
